On December 13-14, 2018, the Airport Defense Drone Technology Competition was successfully held at Qiandao Lake General Airport in Jiande, Zhejiang Province. This competition is sponsored by the China Civil Aviation Management Institute and the China Civil Airports Association, and is hosted by the Zhejiang Jiande Economic Development Zone (Aviation Town) Management Committee. The 207th Institute of the Second Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry, Zhejiang Airport Management Co-organized by the Bureau, Zhejiang General Aviation Industry Development Co., Ltd., Jiande General Airport Management Co., Ltd., Haifeng General Aviation Technology Co., Ltd., and China Low Altitude Safety Research Center of the Peoples Public Security University of China. This competition is the first to be held in the field of civil airports in China. It has established a platform for civil airports and technology research and development companies to communicate with each other. It provides a reference for airports to select the most suitable anti-drone technology for application, and provides a reference for companies to develop equipment performance, Productization and other requirements were raised, and more comprehensive opinions were collected for the drafting of Technical Standards for Preventing Drones at Airports. From more than 60 registered teams, 19 teams were formed to officially participate in the competition through preliminary selection and voluntary registration. More than 100 representatives from more than 50 airports and public security units, including Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and Hubei Provincial Public Security Department Airport Public Security Bureau, watched the competition on site.

This competition mainly focuses on the detection link in airport defense drone technology. It is divided into two groups: radar photoelectric system detection and radio detection detection.
