AML-1 polarization rotation automatic mode-locked controller is designed to realize total automatic locking mode for
femtosecond or picosecond fiber lasers with nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) technique. NPR mode-locking is one of the most common ways in ultrafast fiber lasers. The principle is to realize mode-locking by adjusting the polarization of the laser in the cavity. For intracavity laser polarization control, the combination of half wave plates and 1/4 wave plates is usually adopted. When you rotate these wave plate in a position where the intracavity laser intensity reaches to the peak, the mode-locking mode is active. However, this manual adjustment is time-consuming and laborious, and it is difficult for non-professionals to find the polarization mode-locking position quickly.
